“Please teach some new tricks to this old dog called nationalism - still pointing out guiltiness on the ghost of Europe”

The Installation Please teach some new tricks to this old dog called nationalism - still pointing out guiltiness on the ghost of Europe is made under a residency in Budapest a month in 2010. It’s made out of with cutouts from local newspapers. Hungary had some racist motivated murders on the gypsies minority grope in that periode of time. The installation consist of collections of the same (public) human gestures. Like pointing fingers, handshaking, drinking and large mirroring sentences in the room and a video, where I interviewed different peoples with different disciplines how they saw the situation in Budapest in 2010.

Curator Kati Simon curated the show POWERPLAY. where danish artist: as Bosch & Fjord, Michael Elmgreen & Ingar Dragset, Tue Greenfort, Jens Haaning, Ann Lislegaard, Katya Sander, and Superflex also participated.
